Q & As

Have we missed any oil / climate change films?

Complete question

We've been compiling relevant films, as the latest plan is to include clips from some of them (if we can get clearance from the filmmakers) to make various points.
Could you let us know of any we've missed?
Got these ones:
- The End of Suburbia
- An Inconvenient Truth
- Oil Crash: A Crude Awakening
- Global Dimming: Horizon
- The Great Warming
- Attenborough 1. Are we changing Planet Earth?
- Attenborough 2: Can we save Planet Earth?
- Oil Smoke and Mirrors
- The Great Warming
- Emission Impossible
Thanks

CRUDE made by ABC Science and winner at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival.... http://www.abc.net.au/science/crude/ Crude spans 160 million years of the Earth’s history to reveal the story of oil. From the food on our tables to the fuel in our cars, crude oil seeps invisibly into almost every part of our modern lives. It is the energy source and raw material that drives transport and the economy. Yet many of us have little idea of the incredible journey it has made to reach our petrol tanks and plastic bags. Coming in the wake of rising global concerns about the continued supply of oil and increasingly weird weather patterns, Dr. Richard Smith takes us through time: from the birth of oil deep in the past, to its ascendancy as the indispensable ingredient of modern life. Crude takes a step back from the day-to-day news to illuminate the Earth’s extraordinary carbon cycle and the role of oil in our impending climate crisis. Filmed on location in 11 countries across five continents, Smith consults the leading international scientific experts to join the dots between geology and economy and provide the big-picture view of oil.

Have you heard of the documentary "Everything's Cool"? I'm going to see it tomorrow so I'll let you know if it is a competitor. You can read about it here: <http://www.everythingscool.org/about.htm>http://www.everythingscool.org/about.htm  ANDREW A

A relevant film (oil/peace/middle-east) may be "I know I'm not alone"(Michael Franti's trip to Mid-east incl Iraq).  I had a copy of the DVDbut lost track of who has it.  http://www.spearheadvibrations.com/JEREMY D

Re films - yours all look to be factional. However, I saw Syriana for thefirst time the other night. Fiction, but very relevant. And, of course, it'sthe same guy behind Traffic (which I still haven't seen yet).PETER Y
